Sunday 16th October 2022 saw the Handicap and Low Handicap Leagues finals being played at Worcester Golf and Country Club. after an amazing season, Gaudet Luce was contesting both finals for the first time.

Low Handicap League vs Ombersley Golf Club – With Ombersley being the reigning champions and cup holders this was never going to be easy and so it proved. A well-fought match resulted in a draw meaning a playoff. The last pair from each team met up again on the first hole for the sudden death playoff with nervous tension filling the air. Superb drives and approaches left Mark, Nerves of Steel, and Hewlett Jnr with a twelve-foot birdie putt (he still reckons it was closer to 30 feet) which he duly sank to secure the trophy for Gaudet Luce.

Handicap League vs Hagley Golf Club – A very tight match saw this one go down to the last game. With Gaudet leading 3 v 2 and needing just a half point from the last game the guys were two down with three to play which would mean a playoff for the trophy. However, brilliant play got saw the Gaudet guys pull it back to all square with just the last hole to play. A very cagey last hole eventually left Dave, ICE Cold, and Evans with a tap-in for the half and secured victory for Gaudet Luce.
