A charity Foursome with a shotgun start provides a key plot development in Duncan Peberdy’s new Droitwich-based novel, Lance Dune House, which is raising funds for St. Richard’s Hospice.

Duncan’s novel, the UK’s first Covid19 Murder Mystery, incorporates many local places and even some people that members will recognise; Little Al’s Café in the Lido Park, The Castle Pub, The Chequers at Crowle, Witton Middle School, St. Augustine’s Church and even the much-missed Spinning Wheel.

A tale of money, envy, revenge, fake love and fraud, Lance Dune House commences with a Queen’s Silver Jubilee garden party in 1977, and culminates in July 2021 when the chaos around Covid testing provides an opportunity to hide a murder in plain sight.  Lance Dune House will make you laugh, perhaps even tug at your heart strings, and will definitely challenge your moral compass.

50% of the profits [a minimum of £2 per book] is being donated by Duncan to St. Richard’s Hospice with a target to raise £10,000.
